We are Cheryl & Rob Saunders and are located in the center of the state, Asheboro home of the North Carolina Zoological Park. Rob is from Dallas Texas and I'm from Hartville Ohio. How did a Texan and a Buckeye get together? It was during US Navy bootcamp in Orlando Florida, September 1st, 1979. I was sent to San Diego and he stayed in Orlando. Letters and phone calls (landline..no cell phones) plotting and planning allowed us to select Great Lakes and marry in Waukegan Illinois November 27, 1979. It was love at first sight.
My family consists of two 2-legged children and 7 4-legged babes. Gracie, Belle, and Elsa are retired and will remain with us.
The puppies are raised in our home where we are devoted to the puppies and socialize with them daily. We ensure that each puppy is touched daily from birth to the day they leave me. When they are 4 to 4½ weeks old I start paper training them and 5 weeks they begin playing and running in a large special area outside that is sanitized keeping them healthy while they enjoy fresh air. We also reward our puppies with treats for their good behavior and at 8 weeks provide you with a puppy that is super easy to continue paper / outside training.
My breeding dogs, as stated previously, have been genetically tested to produce healthy puppies. The girls are clear of Golden diseased genetic traits and Baron is a carrier of ICH. That means you do not want to breed him with a female carrying the ICH trait.
